Honest, Fair, Great Mechanic

My immediate and extended family as well as numerous friends use Fred as our mechanic b/c he is an honest, fair, reasonable mechanic that we can rely on to diagnose the problem and fix it. We also use him for all of our inspections and oil changes. My husband and I live a half hour from Fred now, but still come back to Fred because we are certain that he will treat us and our car right. He answers our questions, provides options and never pushes us into repairs that can wait. We really appreciate him and that he will fit us in when it works for him and us. In one instance we had our leased car into the dealer while we were looking at new cars. They offered to change the oil on our lease for free while we waited. Well, low and behold, our car needed brakes and tires or so they said. We thanked them for the oil change and took the car and dropped it off to Fred to fix the next day and get the new tires and brakes that we were told we needed. He called us the next day and told us that we did not need either right now. He said that we did not need tires now or in the immeidate future and that we could go 4-5 months before we needed new brakes. Wow! He could have just fixed them, charged us and we would have been none the wiser, but that's not Fred or how he runs his business. We saved the money and 5 months later we got our brakes done by Fred. We have complete piece of mind with Fred and wish there were more small busines owners like him around.
